Instructional Designer, Learning Design and Curriculum Development Portfolio
I have 20 years experiene in designing higher education courses, workshops and elearning materials. I design engaging learning experiences that combine evidence-based instructional strategies with thoughtful visual design and learner-centred practice.
My work is informed by established instructional design frameworks,
including ADDIE, Adult Learning Theory, Bloom's Taxonomy, and Cognitive Load Theory,
and developed using tools such as Articulate Rise 360, Canva, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects, and Pro Tools.
Foundations of Instructional Design
Foundations of Instructional Design is a 30–45 minute eLearning course designed for new trainers, educators, and aspiring instructional designers. Learners explore adult learning principles, Bloom's Taxonomy, the ADDIE model, and evidence-based learning strategies while completing scenario-based activities, knowledge checks, and a final assessment. Developed in Articulate Rise, the course demonstrates instructional design, assessment, and eLearning development skills.
The Science of Wellbeing
The Science of Wellbeing is an interactive eLearning course that introduces evidence-based strategies for improving happiness, resilience, and psychological wellbeing. Drawing on research from positive psychology, the course explores topics including gratitude, relationships, healthy habits, growth mindset, and resilience through reflection activities, scenario-based learning, knowledge checks, and a final assessment. This project demonstrates my ability to design learner-centred experiences that support behaviour change and practical application of psychological concepts.
The Beginners guide to Songwriting Idea Generation
This project was developed as part of an ongoing research initiative exploring songwriting methodologies and creative practice. The course translates research-informed concepts into an interactive learning experience, combining instructional design principles with practical songwriting activities to support idea generation and creative development.
