K-Pop Presentation

This video presentation documents a research-led songwriting and production project developed as part of my Level 6 Honours research into contemporary K-pop songwriting methodologies and commercial pop composition. The presentation combines analytical research with practical creative application through original songwriting and production work created for my developing commercial songwriting portfolio.

Through analysis of artists including BlackPink, Jennie, IVE, and aespa, the project explores hook-focused songwriting, rhythmic vocal delivery, genre hybridity, melodic repetition, sectional contrast, and production-led composition, before demonstrating how these techniques were intentionally applied within my own original composition Brave Enough.

The presentation is relevant to my broader research interests because it demonstrates how structured songwriting research and analytical study can directly inform more focused, intentional, and commercially informed songwriting and production approaches within professional creative practice.
